Apple Mac G4 Dual 1.25GHz
Specs: 2 x 1.25Ghz, 2GB RAM, 2 x 120GB HD, 16x DVD/RW and 52x CD/RW. It's also fitted with a PCI SCSI card and USB2 card. I also have 2 external LaCie firewire drives connected, one for my sample library the other for backup.
This computer is several years old now and is still going strong. I use it with a 22" Apple Cinema Display and Harmon/Kardon SoundSticks. It will boot into OS9, but them days are long gone. Its currently running Mac OS 10.4, which is the best OS around in my opinion. I have been using Mac OS X seriously for music production since about 2005 and it is rock solid. It NEVER crashes. In Mac OS X, Logic will handle anything you throw at it and still keep going. If it's trying to do too much it will tell you, but it doesn't collapse under the strain!
Because I have a number of external sound sources to choose from, I don't really need to load up lots of processor hungry instrument plug-ins. This is probably the main reason this Mac is lasting so well, It's not often it runs out of CPU power, and if it does I can always 'freeze' a track anyway. When you compare this to my previous (and 1st) Mac, a PowerMac G3, that one started to feel slow after a couple of years, whereas this one probably still has a couple of years left in it!
