Kenton Pro 4 MIDI-CV converter
This is a very useful box of tricks. It brings most of the pre-MIDI vintage equipment into the 21st century! I have the Roland SH101, Korg MS-20 and Pro-One hooked up to this using their CV/Gate inputs so I can play and sequence them using MIDI. It has a MIDI clock to Sync24 converter that allows me to run the Roland TR808, TR606 and TB303 in sync with my tracks and a clock pulse output which can be used to drive arpeggiators, LFO's, etc. It also has some very useful CV Aux sends (with its own internal LFO's) which can be used for all sorts. For example, I will sometimes use a MIDI foot controller to open and close the filter on the Pro-One using its Filter CV input.
Another major advantage of this unit is that it has its own tuning pots for each of the four CV/gate channels. This means if you have an old analogue synth that has a bit of tuning drift over the span of its note range you can bring it back in tune when it is being played from a MIDI keyboard.
